10th International Conference on Legume Genomics and Genetics-2022

Legumes are a major source of protein and nutritious diets for a growing global population and play an important role in mitigating the impacts of climate change. Legumes are important for sustainable agriculture production systems across all agroecologies. Through biological nitrogenfixation, they lessen the burden on fossil fuels used to produce synthetic nitrogenous fertilizers. Adoption of legume-based farming and food systems can lead to healthy diets and environmental sustainability.

The ICLGG’s mission is to bring together scientists working on the research aspects of legume biology in model species, using genetic and genomic tools, with those working on applied aspects and breeding of crop and pasture species. The virtual meeting is an abridged version to celebrate 200 Years of Mendel and the Golden Jubilee of the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) and to announce ICLGG-2023 in Brisbane, Australia.
